Information You Provide
- Bookmark data: Titles, URLs, notes, images, progress fields, favorites, genres, tags, collections, where to watch, platforms, and related metadata
- Memory banks & settings: Custom chips, appearance preferences (including dark mode), and configuration for optional integrations
- Optional credentials: Jellyfin, Suwayomi, ScreenScraper member, and SFTP connection details you enter in Settings (stored locally on your device)
- Survey responses: Optional feedback you provide if you use our survey feature
Information Stored Locally
- Your bookmarks, collections, and settings are stored locally using ObjectBox
- Your data remains under your control and is not automatically uploaded to Funny Bear Apps servers for core bookmark features
- Excel export/import files you create or open are handled on your device
Optional Network Services
Depending on features you enable, the app may contact:

Jellyfin / Suwayomi
Purpose: Optional media library sync into local bookmarks
Data: Credentials and library metadata you authorize, sent to the servers you configure

Purpose: Optional video game box-art lookup
Data: Member credentials you enter, plus title/platform information needed for cover searches

Purpose: Optional remote folder scan and bookmark import

Purpose: Store voluntary survey responses

These integrations only run when you use them. We do not operate your Jellyfin, Suwayomi, or SFTP servers.
Advertising
Hold My Link does not display advertisements. Google Mobile Ads has been removed from the app.
Legacy in-app purchase libraries may remain unused in the codebase and are not used to gate ads.
How We Use Your Information
- Store and manage your bookmarks, collections, and memory banks
- Provide search, filtering, export/import, and duplicate detection
- Perform optional syncs and cover-art fetches you request
- Maintain your appearance and settings preferences
- Respond to support requests and optional survey feedback
Data Storage and Security
- Core bookmark data is retained locally until you delete it or uninstall the app
- Use trusted networks when connecting to remote media servers or SFTP
- Treat stored credentials carefully; anyone with access to your device may be able to read local settings
- You can export your bookmarks to Excel and import them back under your control
Your Rights and Choices
- View, edit, favorite, trash, and restore bookmarks within the app
- Export or import your library at any time
- Clear or change optional server credentials in Settings
- Decline optional sync, ScreenScraper, SFTP, and survey features
Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
