Directory Tree Builder

Scan a folder and turn it into a clear, collapsible directory tree. Choose a local path or connect over SMB or SFTP, then save trees to your library, copy the visible ASCII outline, or export as text or JSON. Available on iOS, Android, macOS, and Linux.

Scan sources

  • Local — pick a folder on your device or computer (Android uses the system document picker for safe folder access)
  • SMB — browse network shares and scan a selected folder
  • SFTP — browse a remote host over SSH and scan a selected path

Features

  • Live scan progress with folder and file counts
  • Optional expand-all folders and folder depth limit
  • Interactive collapsible tree with expand all / collapse all
  • Copy the currently visible tree to the clipboard
  • Library of saved trees with sort, favorites, pull-to-refresh, and delete
  • Import and export your full library as JSON
  • Export a single tree as text or JSON
  • Settings for SMB and SFTP host credentials (stored on device)

Library & remote setup

After each successful scan, the tree is saved to your library automatically. Open any build for a full detail view, or manage favorites and sorting from the library screen.

Remote SMB and SFTP credentials live in Settings (host, username, password, and optional domain or port). Configure them once, then choose SMB or SFTP on Home and pick a directory to scan. Credentials stay on your device and are not included in library exports.
